NJASK Scores

Many people got their NJASK scores. Many azns got a very good grade-
Oh wait.... I just realized that my score is not the score on the right hand side. I actually didn't fail. Nevermind then.
Anyhow, many azns got a good grade. A few of those awesome ones got 300s on their math. O.o Obviously not me, right?
But happy day for me, I've gotten Advanced Proficent. HORRAY. Ish. y. ka. bob. y. ness. y. Well, I could've done better if I didn't fail on the writing prompt. Teeheeteeeheehee.....

Also, please visit my blog, blahykabob.webs.com
Thanks for visiting! (My blog I mean.)

Eye Examinations

Today, I got my eyes checked, for probably the fourth or fifth time in my life. My eyes are really bad, to those people who don't know, and they worsen every year. But, believe it or not, they do not get worse because I play or chat on the internet a lot. It's because I love to read, and I would sneak a flashlight at night to finish a book that I probably started on the same day (cough cough Twilight... :o). Because the light was too dim, my eyesight worsened, and now, instead of it being 20/20 vision as it had been for most of my life, it's a LOT WORSE. My perscription is -2.50 for my right eye, and -3.00 for my left eye.

This is bad.

I guess now you have an excuse for not reading a lot; you don't want to have eyesight like Jill.

Anyway, I went to the eye doctor in Walmart today. I was a bit worried, because my dad would see how much my eyes had worsened for the year, and he'd be pretty mad. Surprisingly, he didn't spaz. On the other hand, he banned me from reading books while I'm within 3 feet of my bed, so that means no more reading at night anymore. (sad face--> =( ) But, the doctor did give me a new set of contact lenses (to last for about two weeks), and I can use them for school so that Annapurna doesn't have to lend my her glasses for every class anymore! (I'm sure you're very happy now, Annapurna...)

Also, I'm getting two new lenses for my glasses. I really like my frame, or I just don't want to get rid of it because I've had it for so long, so I only have to buy new glasses (without the frame), and the people put the glasses into the frames, so I keep my frame, but end up with a more up-to-date perscription.

And there's more! (advertizing voice): My new glasses lenses change when in sunlight, like Harsh's and Alice's. That's about an extra 60 bucks. But it is so cool!

Ok, so, that's my post of the day. Unfortunately, I don't have time to do another one for today, because I'm really busy with science and LA homework, but it's not like people actually read what I write. Well, they don't comment, so I'm going to assume that they hadn't read it. Oh well!

I Did Something Wrong

Ok, I was looking through the internet to find the blog a new blog layout. But, as soon as I saved it, all the extra page elements (polls, pictures, etc.) were deleted. And for some reason, there was no comment panel, so no one could leave comments on anything. I now know a few things:

1. Try not to change anything with your comment panel, because you'll end up spending 20 minutes to figure out how to revert it back to the original.
2. Never change your blog layout unless you know what you're doing
3. ... know what you're doing.

Please revote on the polls if you haven't done so already, or vote for the first time! I really would appreciate it!
Well, those are my words of wisdom to all of you. Use them wisely!

Class Officers

Ok, I know it's "update your blog everyday for a whole week" week, but for some reason, I really REALLY feel like writing a LOT of posts (As you've seen, I've already written my "daily post" for today).

Anyway, here are the class officers of 2009-2010 for UMS:

President: Ashish R.
Vice President: Justin K.
Treasurer: John N.
Secretary: Marty F.

Ok, notice the following:

1.) They are all GUYS. My bus was yelling out how that was so sexist (the guys as well), even though they probably used that term incorrectly.

2.) Most of them are probably going to do pretty well except for the secretary. No offense to Marty, but I feel that someone a bit more responsible should be the secretary. During his speech, he said that he was "responsible" and that he "always hands in work on time". Firstly, none of this was true. Last year, in 7th grade, Marty handed something in for LA about 5 weeks later than the due date. That statement crosses out both "responsible" and "hands in work on time". I mean, it's not like I dislike Marty, for there are more people who I dislike even more, but I'm saying that he is the only one who got in because of popularity.

And besides, I've heard a rumor that he was going to drop out because the only reason that he ran was because of Sabrina S., who didn't make it in. So he definitely wasn't serious about it, which is why I think that someone else should've won.

Ashish and Justin probably also made it in by popularity, but at least they're responsible. John as well. I think that they'd do a good job as the president, vice prez, and treasurer. They were not the people I've voted for (except for John), but I am fine with them being in their class officer positions. The only thing is, about the president position, I feel bad for Nora and Archana (who were also running, to those of you who don't know). I know Archana really wanted to do it, and she was close to tears when she heard on the afternoon announcements. And Nora's locker is right next to mine. She didn't look as sad as Archana, but I could tell she was upset.

Well, that's the elections. We've waited a while for this, and now it's over.

... COMMENT!

Facebook

I know a lot of you guys have a facebook, and that a lot of people in the school have facebooks, and that a bunch of people in the world have facebook, and a bunch of aliens in another planet have-- uh, nevermind about that... >.>

Anyway, my point is that some people that I know have facebooks (cough... Alina). For some reason, I'm getting comments about "my picture on facebook" when I don't even have a facebook account. It's kind of weird =/. I mean, one time, I was just about to create a facebook without telling anyone, but then I realized that I'd get into huge trouble if I didn't tell my parents, so I didn't at the last second. Well, at least that's what I thought had happened. But then, I get these comments about people saying stuff about my picture that I put up on facebook. What the heck? I didn't even know I had a facebook, let alone put pictures up for the world to see.

And then I considered the possiblity that one of my friends put a picture of themself, and I happened to be in it. But how the heck did facebook get my email to send me the picture? Like I said: Assuming that I did NOT (haha, I put it in bold and italics) create a facebook, my email should be unknown to them.

So, could anyone explain any of this to me? I'm SUPER confused (cough cough... like usual!)...

Hi ppls

Jill made me do this. So don't blame me.

We're making a Halloween costume of Somewhat Sisters. So yea. we're going to decorate them soon and show them off on the day before Halloween in school. YAY, cuz that means you'll all have to wait until then- the grand opening XD. Now please do not kill me for torturing you. Thanks.

BTW, this is a short entry because today I am VERY VERY VERY BUSY, so please ignore all grammar/spelling mistakes.

Everyone, UPDATE YOUR BLOGS!

This week, I was told that it's "update your blog everyday for a whole week" week. Or whatever it is really called, but the title that I just made up is the whole idea of it.

Because I really don't have much to say, I'll just list a bunch of people's blogs that ought to have a bunch of new posts if they follow the whole "update your blog everyday for a whole week" week thing:

blahykabob.webs.com
johanzhang.com
lifetomato.blogspot.com
pompup.blogspot.com
montazns.blogspot.com (If you don't know this URL, then you are lost in life... in a way, because you have no idea that you are already here! xD)

... that's about as much as I already know. If anyone knows of any other blogs, then comment!

Hiya Again

To the peoples: I know that I haven't been posting a lot, because of school, but since today is the day of Yom Kippur, and I have extra time, I have decided to update! YAY!

Anyway, I really don't know exactly what to talk about, but I guess I'll just update the world about stuff going on.

As Alina has mentioned, Camp Mason is coming up. I can't wait; I remember when i was a measly sixth grader, and I was saying to myself, "When do we get to go camping? The 8th graders got to do it! And it'll be a long time until we're 8th graders..." Anyway, I can't believe how close Camp Mason is. It's weird how I longed to be an 8th grader back then, but now, I dread it. But hey, life goes on.

Last week was my birthday, and yeah. I'm officially a teenager! YAY! ... Now, I have to await puberty =/ I guess I really didn't have to say that, but oh well! Anyway, I'm glad that most of my friends wished me a great birthday, but I was a bit sad that Jenny, who is in China right now, didn't remember. I specifically asked her to remember before she left for China, and I sent her an email about a week ago, but still didn't receive a reply. But oh well.

Another thing coming up is Halloween! Yes, It's about a month away, but still. It's going to be on a Saturday, so we'll be able to go trick or treating about an hour early! The only bad part is that we don't get to wear our costumes to school, but oh well. It's not that big of a deal...

One of the main reasons that I have mentioned halloween about a month before it's going to happen is because Alina and I are going to go trick or treating as "Somewhat Sisters" as we usually joke around about. I went to her house to prepare our costumes (a sweatshirt decorated by the two of us), but she couldn't find the sweatshirts, so, I just bought my flute to show off my flutey skillz ^_^"

In the end of this post, I hope you are all informed, unlike I was with the word "choir" and its spelling... >.>

Flute Choir

Hiya peoplez!

I know I haven't posted in a while, because of school and all of its annoyingness. If that's a word...

Anyway, I shall announce that Alina L., Cindy F., a girl named Tiffany L., Elizabeth R., Hannah C., and I have joined flute choir! Yes, it's flute choir, not quire, even though that's what I thought it was because I was... uninformed? Anyway, it's super fun, because I'm in charge of it! Well, I elected Alina to be in charge, cuz I'm not that "responsible" and I don't like to be in charge because people expect too much from me, but Dr. Hackel made me be the "leader", and he made Alina in charge of me. So in the end, it's like this: I'm in charge of the group, and Alina is in charge of me. =.=

Anyway, there are some good things:
1. I get to chose who gets which part
2. I get to chose which part that I get (1st part, of course ;))
3. I get to order them all around ^_^ (well, they probably wouldn't listen to me, but oh well!)

So yeah, so far, we've only went to one of these flute choir (not quire) rehearsal thingys, but Alina, Cindy, Tiffany, Hannah, Elizabeth, and I will be attending each of them every wednesday.

Speaking of wednesday, does anyone know if they made it into SO yet? And to anyone who thinks I'm a stalker (KW), I'm not. I didn't know that the high schoolers were coming to UMS to do this SO thingy, so, I have an excuse!

ZOMG

Yes, we all hate school and its terrible tests. In fact, I had 4 tests today. Although I know many people might've had a hard time on the tests, maybe these ppls could stay after for that subject. And if you really want to cheer up, think about....

CAMP MASON!

That's right! That funfun activity is coming up soon. But since I'm on the A team, which is different from most of you ppl's, I'll decide to pray for internet and computers over there. But be sure to....
ROCKCLIMB!
RAFT!
TUG OF WAR!
HIKE!
COOK SMOORES!
CABIN/BUNK!

and many more upcoming activities that will be known.

So, please, also be aware of the mysterious sickness coming around. It's where you get a runny nose and sniffle all the time. And this is spreading really quickly. I even have it. Unfortunately, it's not so big that azn parents kick you out of school, so deal with it. :'(

GOOD LUCK ON SchooL and BAND and Orchestra and MATH and... AZNESS!!!
Have fun,

From your azn bffl, Alina

Back (To school/from china)

I find this blog kinda as a phailure. Or maybe that's my self-esteem. Or the phailure could be both....

ZOMG I'm back!!! FROM CHINAAA!!! Of course, none of you are actually excited mostly because you don't like my backness... Oh well. And by backness, I don't mean my whacky backyness. Also, airplanes are boring and add jetlag. Ride as few airplanes as you can in your life (if you think that the destination you're going to is worth it, then ride it). Visit me while I'm here. Mostly because that's how I'll stay awake.

School's coming. Yay. And everyone probably forgot everything. So everyone probably will phail everything. YAAAAAAAAYS.... What fun. But don't worry, the back to school shopping shall be funfun! Yay.

BYE.

When Chefs Get Bored

When looking through my old emails, I spotted one titled, "When Chefs Get Bored...", so I clicked on it. In this email, there were really cool pictures of creative things that aparently chefs made when they were bored. They were so cool, that I have decided to post them on this blog to show everyone.
Here is a fairly angry bread (reminds me of... me in 3rd grade >.<) I wonder where he got that knife... O.o Well, here are the possibilities of what this could be: 1.) An angry bread (oposite of smiley breads!) 2.) A pirate 3.) All of the above.

It's so hard to chose!
Next picture:

This egg carriage picture is really interesting; it made me think, "How did this person make this carriage?" The wheels are even more intersting; it must've took many tries to get it all right...
This picture shows an orange peel carrying itself. Hm... it sort of reminds me of Elizabeth in a way, but i'm not sure how...

Well, this orange must be bringing itself to Elizabeth for her to enjoy... and eat ravenously...
What's really interesting about this picture is that the cauliflower looks a lot like sheep's wool. The tomato could either be a:
1.) teacher
2.) shepherd
3.) person who shaves the sheeps' wool off.

Overall, it's an interesting picture.

This is just another interesting picture. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that it's making lemonade... out of itself??

The world may never know. O_O

...We also may never know how many licks it takes to get to the toostie roll center of a tootsie pop, so I guess there are a lot of things the world may never know. O_O

Ok, this bread hand is kinda creepy, but hey, it's interesting!
To me, it looks like it's saying: GIVE ME MONEY OR ELSE!
Oh wait, look!someone already did!
Again, I'm amazed about how someone could make such an intricate house out of one egg. But, this is what happens "when chefs get bored". Overall, I think it's really cute ^_^.

This looks weird, in a way, and I would like my favorite fruit to be showed in a different way, but oh well! It's SO COOL! Obviously, the "blood" is not from the apple, but the way the mouth, eyes, and teeth are cut is really accurate. At first, I couldn't tell it was an apple (I know, silly me to not recognize my favorite fruit, but oh well!).
I'm not sure how this guy is spraying water (or something like that) from his mouth/nose (not sure yet =/), but it's pretty awesome. I know I've been using the words "awesome" and "cool" a lot, but it's true.
Watermelon sculptures remind me of the cruise I went on and there were many watermelon and ice sculptures (http://www.foodgarnishing.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/1560oil.jpg.w300h348.jpg).

I'm not exacly sure about how the tail end of this banana dolphin ended up looking like it's in the water, but in general, it's, in some way, elegant... I guess?

I'm not sure if this was supposed to be funny, but it was in the chain mail, so I guess I'm putting this up on the blog and on this post...
This one doesn't remind me of Elizabeth because there's no orange! Only an orange peel! So HA! You don't deserve to remind me of Elizabeth because YOU'RE NOT SPECIAL! (ok, I just might be getting carried away... >_>)

8th Grade Schedules Frustration

As everyone knows, comparing classes with your friends before the school year starts is so much fun, seeing who's in who's classes, and if you'll be with any of your friends.

If most could recall, the biggest trouble we had with the school supply list was the "erasable highlighter", which later on, we discovered, we didn't need it. Or, the fact that our "homeroom teachers'" were just teachers that hand out our schedules. Then, we go to our real homeroom teacher (the teacher that we will have for the rest of the school year). Coincidentally, my teacher who gave out the schedules, was my actual homeroom teacher that I was supposed to have for the rest of the school year. Except, on the third day of 7th grade, I switched to Mrs. Anderson, the worst spanish teacher that I've ever had.

But, now that I'm going to 8th grade, I know that there is a worse Spanish teacher: Mrs. Johnson. I've heard that, "She lowers your grade for breakfast, fails you for lunch, and destroys you personally for dinner" (~Alex Ge, 8th grader/future high schooler). But, I also hear that Team B (including Mrs. Johnson) has the best and easiest teachers (excluding Mrs. Johnson). So, I don't exactly know what to hope for.

Anyway, yesterday, Parent Connect had let people see your schedule and your teachers. So far, the only people who I know who have seen their schedules, are: Lulu C., Emily C., and Kevin W. They were the fortunate who looked onto Parent Connect at the right time. Unfortunately, yesterday, around 6-7 p.m., at the time, I was playing badminton with my little sister, so I didn't know that everyone's status said, "ZOMG CHECK PARENT PORTAL IT HAS YOUR SCHEDULE AND TEACHERS ZOMG!!!" or, "OMG CRAP, THEY HAVE THE SCHEDULES OUT! CHECK IT SO WE CAN COMPARE CLASSES!". Now, I truly understand what people mean when they say, "The early bird catches the worm" and it's not an excuse parents make to get you to wake up earlier...

Well, I didn't actually see everyone's status (as I said, I was playing with my sister), but from what Lulu said, a lot of people had it in their stats. So, when I checked it out, this is what it said: "The Parents Module is temporarily unavailable while guidance counselors work on completing the student schedules. Please check back on the first day of school for access to ParentResources."

I guess Mrs. Haas or whoever the person is who puts in the schedules, found that a few people were checking it out, so they blocked it. Evil guidance counselors.

The more frustrating thing was, about 30 minutes before I was going to play with my sister, I also checked Parent Connect. It wasn't like I checked regularly (now I do, just in case they accidently unblock it), but I was just going to see if anything happened. It worked, but it was completely empty besides my school picture. So, this must mean that they were working on putting the schedules in, and I checked a bit early. After an hour, when I came back, I guess I missed everything.

I complained to a lot of people (including my parents; I even asked if my dad could hack into Parent Connect in some way, but he said he couldn't and wouldn't. =/). My friends tell me that if I see that I can go to Parent Connect I should tell them right away. But, the good thing that happened out of this is that I now know the schedules will be coming out pretty soon; perhaps a month later on the first day of school (a.k.a. torture).

Alina and Jenny Are In Foreign Countries

Currently, Alina is in China, and Jenny is here in Montgomery; both of them vacationing in foreign countries.

Because Alina's in China, and there's no blogger there (well, it's there, but it doesn't work), and she will not be able to post anything interesting that has happened (I've been dying to do that myself when I was in China a month ago). So, I've asked her to email me some stuff she's written and I'll post them for her (It'll still say that it's posted by me, but I will say that it was Alina who wrote the posts). I also will be sending her emails of future posts that might be coming out.

You probably didn't need to know this bit of information, but oh well! =) At least you'll be hearing from Alina!

Jenny, on the other hand, lives in Qing Dao, but has lived here in Montgomery from grades 4 to 6. During the summer of 6th grade, she and her family moved out, and we all had to say our farewells.

But now, Jenny is back in America to spend her time either shopping in stores that aren't in China, going to camps (unlike me), and doing other stuff which I don't know about (I'm not a stalker =/). Anyway, if you know her, you should talk to her before she goes back to China on the 30th of August (or something like that).

So, this is just some information just in case anyone wanted to know!

OMG PHAILURE of ALINA L

The whole world shall now proclaim Alina L the phailure of azns. Why is this so? Read below to continue solving this mystery.
Alina L has no self-esteem nor confidence in her ability to pass the MAP test on Thursday, July 30th. But today, Alina L has done about 4 chapter test in order to complete her goal to finish all chapter tests in the book. Unfortunately, she doesn't know whether or not she shall pass. But she is sure that Pallavi Sambasi., her 13 year old friend, will pass when she is in China on August 5th. This is because Pallavi shall take the test 6 days after Alina takes her's. The only problem with Pallavi's is that it is in the morning. Drink tea, Pallavi! (That rhymes, by the way.)
Tell all your fellow azns good luck!

(Passage from the OMG AZN PHAILURE)

Ice Cream & Chocolate

Is it me, or is it every time someone says 'Ice cream' someone has to think 'Chocolate'? I mean, that's what happens to me...

How are they not connected? There's chocolate ice cream, there's ice cream with chocolate in it, there's chocolate in chocolate ice cream, and, sometimes, chocolate covered chocolate ice cream! That must be a chocolate-lover's dream; to them, it'd be the 8th wonder of the world.

I'm not a huge fan of chocolate ice cream, but who doesn't love chocolate? My favorites are Lindt Chocolates or Hershey's. I prefer milk chocolate because dark chocolate is sometimes bitter, and who doesn't love milk chocolate?

As for ice cream, my favorite type is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and my favorite places to get ice cream are Coldstone Creamery, and the really expensive Thomas Sweet (which i usually get for my birthday cake but not regular ice cream eating)

I don't know why I decided to rant about chocolate and ice cream. Ok, it was because Emily L. and Alina L. told me to! Oh well... hope you enjoyed my ranting of chocolate and ice cream!
